RELATIVE CLAUSES
Relative Clauses or commonly referred to as an adjective clause is used to clarify the person or object that the speaker is referring to.

#Relative pronouns, pronouns on the antecedent that function as a liaison in the sentence.
The pronoun used: who, whom, whose, which, that.

Example: The girl who is sitting on the chair is my sister.

#Restrictive to limit sentences in a single form.

#Non restrictive for protection in the plural.

Restrictive phrases work very important in a sentence. Why?
Because it clarifies the identity of the object. Keep in mind that restrictive phrases do not have comma punctuation before and after.

Example:
The woman pouring the tea is my mom. The man in the black suit is my dad. I hate the girl standing by the door. In contrast to the restrictive phrase, nonrestrictive or nonessential phrases are when the phrase is simply an additional information so that its function is not too important. We already recognize and can identify the object called without any phrases that follow. Well, in this phrase we need the comma punctuation before and after the phrase.

Example:
My sister, wearing satin dress, is ready to welcome her friends in her birthday party.
Mrs. Smith, just gotten out of the hospital, jogs around with me.
